Barcelona vs Valencia 90% will probably be played in Estadi Johan Cruyff – Report

FC Barcelona continues to work tirelessly to return to the Spotify Camp Nou as quickly as possible.

The goal set by the Blaugrana was to organize their first Home League match, against Valencia, after the international break in September, back in their stadium.

However, that now looks very unlikely. The club has not yet completely excluded it and gives itself a few days before they make a final decision.

Estadi Johan Cruyff the likely location

As such, according to SPORTEstadi Johan Cruyff is now the most likely location on September 14 Barcelona vs Valencia host.

Unlike UEFA, La Liga has not set a deadline for Barça to confirm the stadium for their fourth competition. Nevertheless, it is expected that the decision will be made on Monday.

That timing is in line with the club’s own schedule, because they wait for all the necessary permits to reopen the stadium. Although the full use of the location is still far away, even opening this with a reduced capacity would be great progress on many fronts.

Barça explained that Dekra, the company that is responsible for validating, certifying and approving the work completed so far in the Spotify Camp Nou, carried out an inspection on Thursday.

They must now prepare a report for the city council. If the result is positive, it is up to the Council to publish the first occupancy shrimps. Barça are optimistic that all parties will speed up the paperwork as much as possible, but also recognize that time is very tight.

For this reason, although not entirely the possibility of hosting Valencia in Camp Nou, the club has already accepted that it is out of your hands and is preparing for the larger scenario: Hansi Flick’s Side welcomes Valencia in Estadi Johan Cruyff.

The fact that the decision is not yet 100% final was shown on Thursday, when tests were performed on the gigantic screens of Camp Nou.

La Liga, for his part, is supposed to have given the green light for Barcelona to organize the competition in their reserve team stage.

In the meantime, the optimism remains high that Barça will be back in Camp Nou for the fifth league match, at home to get Getafe on September 21. The club is convinced that there will be enough time to obtain the certificates needed to host Madrid’s side.
