The Grand Slam season in the 2025 tennis calendar has ended and the qualification promotion of Davis Cup is also in the rear -view mirror, so it’s time for the autumn swing to start on the ATP tour. It all starts this week in Asia, where ATP 250 tournaments take place in Hangzhou and Chengdu. Among the players who court are Andrey Rublev, Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Bublik, Matteo Berrettini, Lorenzo Musetti and Gael Monfils.
Here are my previews and choices for the two events.
Hangzhou open
Where: Hangzhou, China
Surface: Difficult
Point: 250
Prize money: $ 1,019,185
Top seed: Andrey Rublev
Defender: Marin Cilic
Drawing analysis: Colleague Russians Rublev and Medvedev are at the forefront when the top two seeds in what a stacked ATP 250 field is. It has been the first performance of Medvedev since then Split old coach Gilles Cervara. You would think that an ATP 250 Event Medvedev gives a considerable opportunity to win its first title since the spring of 2023 in Rome, but the current form suggests differently. The 29-year-old is completely number 18 in the world and can even be vulnerable against defending champion Marin Cilic in round two. A charged lower half of the bracket also has Buffik, Berrettini, Adrian Mannarino and Sebastian Korda.

Rublev should have a much easier time at the top of the draw. The other seeds in half are Corentin Moutet, Camilo Ugo Carabelli and student ten. Although ten Rublev Van Streek made in Washington, DC, the world no. 14 had no trouble taking revenge in Cincinnati. Moutet plays well, but he will have a tough opening match against Matteo Arnaldi or Arthur Cazaux.
Is called: Alexander Bublik, Corentin Moutet, Adrian Mannarino, Adam Walton, Arthur Cazaux
Cold: Daniil Medvedev, Matteo Berrettini, Sebastian Korda, Yibing Wu, David Goffin, Zhizhen Zhang
Quarter -final predictions: Andrey Rublev about student Tien, Matteo Arnaldi about Tomas Martin Etcheverry, Alexander Bublik about Bu Yunchaokete and Adrian Mannarino Daniil Medvedevedev
Semi -final: Rubev about Arnaldi and Bublik about Mannarino
Final: Rublev about Bublik
Chengdu open
Where: Chengdu, China
Surface: Difficult
Point: 250
Prize money: $ 1,190,210
Top seed: Lorenzo Musetti
DefenderJerry Shang
Drawing analysis: Last year, Musetti stormed Chengdu on the heels of a fantastic summer (Wimbledon semi -finals, bronze medal at the Paris Olympic Games) and reached the final before he lost Jerry Shang. The ninth ranking order Italian struggled this summer with a few physical problems, but he goes again in the autumn fluctuation with Momentum after he went to the US Open quarter finals. In a different unpectacular field, Musetti must be considered a tough favorite to go completely in 2025. That does not mean that it will be a walk in the park. New sensation Terence Atmane, who is a possible opponent in the second round for top seeds, plays for the first time since his shocking run to the Cincinnati Semis.

To the annoyance of the Chengdu fans, Shang’s title defense cannot last long. The 20-year-old has actually missed this entire season due to an injury, has not won a competition since January 4 and has been withdrawn from his first round match at the US Open. A difficult opener against Zizou Bergs does not predict well for Shang. All in all, it is a completely wide open lower half of the bracket-where Bergs, Brandon Nakashima and Lorenzo Sonego belong to the contenders. Even an in-shape Luciano Darderi could have a chance, even though it is a clay court specialist.
Is called: Lorenzo Musetti, Luciano Darderi, Terence Atmane, Coleman Wong
Cold: Sebastian Baez, Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, Jordan Thompson, Jerry Shang, Alexander Shevchenko
Quarter -final predictions: Lorenzo Musetti about Botic van de Zandschulp, Coleman Wong about Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, Brandon Nakashima about Marcos Giron, and Cameron Norrie about Jordan Thompson
Semi -final: Musetti about Wong and Nakashima about Norrie
Final: Musetti about Nakashima
