The record sales price of a southern suburb has just been taken, with a Flagstaff Hill -house for $ 420,000 more than the previous top sales of the suburb.
A large mansion with seven bedrooms on 28 Kingfisher Circuit has just put a new benchmark for prestige property in the suburb, largely because of its size, daring design and luxurious aesthetics.
The real estate achieved no less than $ 2.42 million and easily surpassed the $ 2 million that was paid for the 34 Torrey RD with four bedrooms in July 2023.
Sales agent Valerie Timms of OC said that the property said the real estate attracted a lot of attention.
“We were very interested in it and got several offers, and it was a great campaign and the first open was insane it was rain and we had shoe covers for people and many people chose to take off their shoes and my co-agent Ellie and I were just shoes at the end to try to get people as soon as we could. It was crazy,” she said.

Mrs Timms said the property attracted people to move from the surrounding suburbs and further, where the seller came from the southeast shooters.
“They knew about the building and had long admired it and had family who live in the neighborhood and it just gave them the space they needed,” she said.
Mrs Timms said the real estate that was sold by his expressions of interest date and that the seller was very happy with the price they received.
“It was a work of love for them, so to achieve this result for them was great,” she said.

Sellers Caleb and Cass bought the house in 2017, attracted by the scope for a large transformation.
And they certainly did that, with the end result a beautiful house with approximately 585 m² of indoor and outdoor living space over his two levels.

“It was very expired, but it had excellent bones,” says Caleb.
“It was a solid double brick construction with what I had never seen before-a 150 mm cast-in-place second story plates floor.
“I had never seen that in a house, and it was visible in the garage and I looked at it thinking:” This place was built like a truck. “
But it wasn’t the style that Caleb had wanted, so they started to make something else of it.
“We threw everything, thinking that we would be at home forever,” he said.
“We wanted everything to be quality and wanted everything to take a long time and we also wanted it to be beautiful.

“I love that style of home, the Georgian, French provincial kind of mix, and I had a vision for the front and got a lot of my inspiration from the late David Cheney and I actually spoke with the guy who used to do his facade frames.
“He came out and we had a chat and I got some ideas from him he didn’t really want to do the work because he was semi-retired, he just wanted to help.
“So I put together some concepts and put on Alex Galvin of the Galvin Group, and he came up with a pretty incredible design.”
That design contains seven bedrooms, countless indoor and outside entertainment rooms and a beautiful landscaped garden that ensures that the house blinds long before you walk through the front door.
Quality luminaires and fittings are in abundance, including 25 mm French oak parquetry floors, chandeliers, thick stone bank sheets, a ceiling dome, a 19 kW solar system and adapted joinery.
“Unfortunately I am the kind of man who really enjoys a project, and then I am looking for the next one,” says Caleb.

“I am not the kind of man who looks too much over his shoulder, compared to my own disadvantage.
“I have to lean back and look at things and look at things, but yes, we thought it was great, it was a brilliant family house, and it was our dream.”
When it first came on the market, Mrs. Timms told the advertiser that it was a milestone for the area.
“I would never really say it is the best house in Flagstaff Hill, but when I walked in, I realized, oh my God, this is actually,” she said.
Mrs Timms said the house had attracted an enormous amount of interest online.
“I have people from the area who are interested who are looking for moving,” she says.
“I also received people who originally thought of the city center, but this really represents a good price.

“For what it is, to buy something like that in Mitcham or Unley, you probably have $ 3.5 $ 4.5 million.
“This is in Craigburn Estate as I priced, it was a kind of looking at what sells in Craigburn Farm and Craigburn Estate and then you know that we have put together that price range that I think was realistically seen as the reach of the real estate.”

Mrs Timms said the house did not have to be limited to just the only family.
“We are very interested in people who look at multi-generations, because it has four bathrooms and seven bedrooms and it has individual wings of the house, so it lends itself,” she said.
“Even the kitchen, although it is a kitchen, it is in three sections, so you have the utility room, then there is the main kitchen, and then there is the bar, all of which have their own sinks and cupboards.
“I think for people who thought that even two or three families live in the One Space – everyone has room.”
