Meyers may have had the best season of his career when he has been healthy. He will complete the regular season with a .292/.354/.373 battle line with three gay people and 16 stolen bases in 104 games. Meyers has been a fantastic defensive outfielder during his career. He had not really been an offensive threat during his first three-plus seasons. The average and on-base percentage of this year are easily personal highlights.
Houston has now lost three last two weeks. Jordan Alvarez His ankle sprains and will not come back this weekend. Jeremy Peña Did not play in a week because of an oblique tension. He is out of the line -up again tonight. Zach Cole replaces Meyers in midfield, drawing Taylor Trammell In the line -up left. Mauricio Dubón Is in short stop for Peña.
McCullers is back from a minimum IL residence related to hand pain. The former All-Star-Starter has been banned to the Bullpen and has an ERA of 6.71 over 52 1/3 innings around a trio injured list tints. His return comes at the expense of Hernandez. Houston did not have to make a 40-man selection, but had already chosen Hernandez five times during the season. That is the maximum under the conditions of the collective negotiating agreement of 2022, so the Astros must lead him through exemptions to send it down again.

It is not not a striking things, but he has had swinging strikes at more than 13% of his offers at the big league level. Triple-A-Hitters sniffed more than 16% of the time. That can be enough for a team to take it. While Houston maximized their five options within a season, Hernandez then has another option year. A claim team can send him back to Triple-A next season if they are willing to keep him on the 40-man schedule all winter.
