If Villa Catamo would pursue, they would do that Face -competence of Fenerbahçe and Premier League Rivals Everton for his signature. He has passed on his contract for three years and is apparently priced at € 30 million by the Portuguese Capital Club.

The Mozambique International has regularly played for sport in the past two seasons, when the Lisbon Club enjoyed almost total domestic dominance and claimed a few league titles and the Portuguese Cup.

Catamo contributed seven goals and five assists in 48 performances in all competitions last season. His form was in the first part of the season under Ruben Amorim, who left Lisbon for Manchester United.

The wing player born in Matupo scored two winning goals against Bitter Rivals Benfica, scored twice in a 2-1 win in April 2024 and took the only goal in a 1-0 win over Benfica seven months later.

Catamo is a wing player who can operate on both flanks and offers a threat because of his pace and dribbling. It fits well with the needs of Unai Emery and offers width and direct game after the departure of Leon Bailey, but also able to step in.

Villa is short in those positions and has to add bodies and flexibility, so the 24-year-old would be a logical team player adding.

Emery about Villa’s transfer progress

Emery has not been shy about the need to bring in more players before the end of the summer transfer window.

Villa focuses on silverware and strives to compete on four fronts this season, and a number of players, including Bailey, Jacob Ramsey, Leander Dendoncker and àlex Moreno, have all left permanently or on initial loan movements.

“The club is working hard to get our structure as strong as possible with the players in the team, in an attempt to get two players for each position,” Emery said, as reported by Birminghamlive And John Townley.

“There is still work to do, maybe even some players leave more, and we will have to sign and complete the team with some players.

“The first reason why we now miss a few others in our structure and in our team with our players is because some players left a week or two weeks ago when we expected a deal before.

“We work and we have a number of solutions to try to solve it. But we have to be alert and continue, and the players we have now are enough to compete, but thinking the entire season, thinking that we hopefully get more than 50 games, we have to get balanced players in the team and add more players to them.”
