India rushed into the final of Asia Cup 2025 after an impressive 41-run victory over Bangladesh in the Super Four Clash in the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday 24 September.
The victory was built on a sizzling innings by Abhishek Sharma and a clinical bowling performance led by Kuldeep Yadav.
Batting first, India placed 168-6 in 20 overs. Abhishek Sharma was the star and hit 75 out of 37 balls with six four and five sixs.
He shared a 77-run opening standard in six overs with Shubman Gill, who scored 29 of 19 deliveries.
The innings of India delayed after the resignation of Abhishek, with Rishad Hossain (2-27), Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Mustafizur Rahman who pick up important wickets and keep it under control.
During the chase, Jasprit Bumrah set the tone by firing opener Tanzid Hasan cheap.
Bangladesh struggled to maintain Momentum despite a 51-ball 69 from Saif Hassan, who reached three four and five sixes. Parvez Hossain Emon contributed 21 of 19 balls, but Wickets in crucial phases derailed their efforts.
Kuldeep Yadav led India’s spin attack brilliant and claimed 3-18, including the wickets of Parvez Hossain Emon and Rishad Hossain.
Varun Chakravarthy (2-29) and Axar Patel (1-37) also suffered from the middle order, while Tilak Varma sealed the game when Bangladesh was excluded in 19.3 overs.
