Asia Cup 2025: ‘Ready for every challenge’ – Pakistan Skipper Salman Agha Optimistic to beat India in Super Four Clash

India and Pakistan are again ready to lock Hoorns in the Asia Cup 2025. With both teams that go to the Super Four, the arch rivals will meet again on September 21 in Dubai. After having had a seven-wicket defeat in their previous meeting and is in the midst of a controversy with no-hand shake, Pakistan will have enormous pressure to deliver. Captain Salman Agha, however, is convinced that his team can achieve the opportunity.

Pakistan booked their place in the Super Four with a 41-run victory over the United Arab Emirates. Despite the installation of a total of 146/9, their bowlers provided the victory against one side of a VAE. The fifty of Fakhar Zaman was the only remarkable contribution to the top, while Shaheen Afridi’s Late Cameo (29* from 14) gave the innings some momentum.

We will be good against every side: Agha

The victory helped men in Green to put the drama aside around their endangered boycott of the match of the VAE, which came from their objections to match referee Andy Pycroftt after the handshake controversy with India. Speaking after the victory over the VAE, Salman Agha emphasized the need for his team to concentrate on playing quality cricket and not being distracted by external noise.

“Yes, we are ready for every challenge. We just want to play a good cricket, and if we play a good cricket as we have played in recent months. I think we will be good against every side,” said Agha in the presentation after the game.

The skipper admitted that Pakistan’s impact problems are a great concern. He pointed to their struggles in the middle overs, so they have not placed competitive highs.

“We have done the job, but we still have to get better in the middle. I think that is what is now for us for a few games. We have to look at it. We have not yet beaten ourselves, but we still find a way to score around 150. If we have beaten well in the middle, we are probably well added.
