Pakistan has booked his place in the Asia Cup 2025 End after beating Bangladesh with 11 points in a low scoring thriller in the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday. With this victory, Pakistan has booked a historic collision against India, making it the first time that the two arch rivals will meet in an Asia Cup final.
Bangladesh, under stand-in skipper Jaker Ali, chose to bowl for the first time. Their bowlers produced a brilliant achievement on the day it did the most, so Pakistan was limited to 135 for 8. Taskin Ahmed ended up with figures from 3 to 28, while leg spinner Rishad Hossain was never impressed by Pakistan’s Batting never really laughed, because they regularly lost wickets.
Sahibzada Farhan fell over in the very first and the miserable tournament of Saim Ayub continued with a fourth duck in six innings. The chase of Bangladesh started a bad start when Shaheen Afridi hit the opening to dismiss Parvez Hossain Emon before he removed Towhid Hridoy shortly thereafter. Saif Hassan tried to combat 18 out of 15, but his resignation from Haris Rauf led to a collapse.
Shamim Hossain (30 out of 25) tried to stabalize the sinking ship, but the Bowlers of Pakistan consistently chose Wickets. Saim Ayub, after a failure with the bat, relieved with the ball and picked up two wickets, including the Bangladesh captain Jaker Ali. Haris Rauf quickly removed Tanzim Sakib and Taskin in succession, while Shaheen caught up with a three-wicket pull. The lower order of Bangladesh fought to the end, with Rishad Hossain’s 16 out of 11 with some hope. They finally finished at 124 for 9, 11 is short of the target.
