The ACE Pacer Naveen-Ul-Haq from Afghanistan is excluded from the rest of the Asia Cup 2025 Because of a shoulder injury. The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) confirmed that NAVEEN was not cleared by the medical team to participate in the tournament and will continue his rehabilitation process instead.
Naveen did not stand up in particular in the Afghanistan opening match of the tournament against Hong Kong. Earlier this month he had also missed the Tri series with Pakistan and the VAE, with his last outing in June during the Major League Cricket (MLC) for Mi New York. The Pacer has since had to deal with a shoulder problem and the ACB has decided not to risk its participation.

Afghanistan announces replacement player
Since he made his debut, Naveneen Has become one of the most reliable T20 -Bowlers in Afghanistan. In 48 T20is he chose 67 wickets on an average of 18.73, with the best figures of 4/20. His contributions were crucial in the Run from Afghanistan to the semi -final of the T20 World Cup in 2024, where he ended with 13 Wickets, including a match -winning Burst against Australia. The Pacer has also become a big name in Franchise Cricket and plays in competitions such as the IPL, CPL, BPL and LPL.
Replacing him in the team is the young fast Fast Bowler Abdullah Ahmadzai, who was part of the reserves. Ahmadzai recently made his international debut against the VAE, where he picked up one Wicket in his three-over enchantment. In the meantime, Afghanistan has started his Asia Cup campaign in a high tone.
They registered a dominant 94-run victory over Hong Kong in Abu Dhabi, with a half centures of Sediqullah Atal and Azmatullah Omarzai. Rashid Khan-guided team will then be confronted opposite Bangladesh on 16 September at the Dubai International Stadium. For Bangladesh it will be a must-win meeting to keep their super four expectations alive.
