Arsenal’s Katie Reid will miss the remainder of the 2025/26 season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.
The Gunners confirmed on Monday that Reid suffered the injury in training ahead of their 1-1 draw with Chelsea in the Women’s Super League last weekend.
Reid will now undergo surgery to repair the problem, which is a huge blow for the 19-year-old, who has made a strong start to the campaign.
The defender has played six times in the WSL this season for Renee Slegers’ team, who are fourth in the standings and six points behind leaders Manchester City.
Reid came in at central defense in place of injured Arsenal captain Leah Williamson, who has missed the start of the season with a knee injury suffered during the 2025 European Championship.

This ACL injury is the third to be suffered by an Arsenal player in quick succession at this early stage of the season.
Michelle Agyemang, who is on loan at Brighton, suffered the same problem last month while on international duty with England during a 3-0 win over Australia.
Goalkeeper Manuela Zinsberger also injured her cruciate ligament during training while preparing for a Champions League match against Benfica in October.
