Eze discussed his role models with the Beast mode on podcast with Adebayo Akinfenwa and expressed his admiration for Hazard.
The latter was recently inducted into the Premier League Hall of Famein recognition of his seven seasons at Chelsea.
Hazard scored 110 goals and provided 92 assists in 352 appearances for the Blues, winning a wealth of accolades including two Premier League titles and the 2014/15 PFA Player of the Year award.
Eze named Hazard his favorite player to watch growing up, praising the Belgian for ‘expressing himself’ on the pitch.
“Eden Hazard was my favorite player to watch. You had Dinho (Ronaldinho), Neymar (Lionel) Messi, (Cristiano) Ronaldo… these guys, you know. Eden Hazard, man.”
When asked what made Hazard his most important role model, Eze added: “Freedom. Freedom. Freedom. He did what he thought was the right thing at the time. He did what he thought was the right thing at the time.”
“He doesn’t think, he just expresses himself. And you can see he enjoys it… he enjoyed being effective as a player, but also his style of playing football. So yeah, for me that’s my man.”
