This business end of the transfer window is starting now that July is here. Pre-season is waiting for new signing sessions to acclimatize with the new Premier League season barely six weeks.

Mikel Arteta will hope that Arsenal can take action with the expectation of Martin Zubimendi who arrives at the Emirates next to Brentford’s Christian Norgaard. The couple will try to strengthen the midfield of the Gunners after the outputs of Jorginho and Thomas Peny.

The side of Noord-London will crucially hope to sign a new striker in an attempt to get rid of the title of multi-year Second. Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokores have long been associated with a move to Arsenal, but still have to see sufficient progress to draw on the dotted line.

With a switch to a different season and financial year, it might be when business is done. Arteta will certainly hope.

Williams Boost

Arsenal has seen a vague boost in their hope to sign Nico Williams after relocating the winger to Barcelona stalled. After the Spain International seemed to have agreed conditions at the Catalan club, contracts that were drawn up arose a stalemate.

Williams would like a guarantee for his registration after last year, Barca could not register a new signature Dani Olmo in their team because of the financial rules of La Liga. Barcelona is claimed to find the request unreasonable after the condition was not part of the original conversations and their own guarantees.

Williams, however, does not want to suffer the same fate as Olmo and has not been demonstrated to refrain from a guarantee. Bayern Munich will wait to bounce next to Arsenal, where Williams previously suggested that he was open to such a movement.
