Arsenal lead race to sign Leon Goretzka

The Gunners became interested in signing the German star during the recent winter transfer window Caught offside claim the midfielder had given his word to stay at Bayern until the summer.

Goretzka’s arrival could depend on a possible departure. Norgaard does said to take into consideration his Gunners future amid his reduced role and could submit a request to leave the club during the summer.

However, a move by Goretzka may not be planned. The 31-year-old, considered ‘world class’ by him Bundesliga.commay not accept the prospect of playing as a regular backup behind Zubimendi and Rice.

The Schalke graduate may want the security of a rotational role with regular starts, which doesn’t seem like a guarantee. Norgaard has yet to make a competitive start for the Gunners since joining from Brentford last summer.

That’s why a transfer can’t work for Arsenal or Goretzka. He could end up joining another Premier League team.
