Mikel Arteta’s side maintained their 100% record in this season’s competition after a comfortable victory over the Czech champions.
Bukayo Saka opened the scoring from the penalty spot for the Gunners, before backup striker Mikel Merino scored a brace.
A memorable night for Arsenal ended with a competitive debut for Max Dowman as the teenager became the youngest player in Champions League history.
Arsenal are looking formidable at the moment as the Gunners secured another clean sheet in the Premier League this weekend. Mikel Arteta’s side have not conceded a goal in any competition since September 28, a run of seven consecutive shutouts.
Arsenal also equaled a long-standing club record, which dates back to 1903. The victory saw the north London side achieve eight consecutive clean sheets in all competitions, a streak not achieved for 122 years. The last goal Arsenal conceded came in Newcastle at the end of September.
It is also a joint record for a top English team, Preston North End in 1889 and Liverpool in 1920.
