Arsenal Women’s head coach Renee Slees says that her side must be more relentless for the goal after being losing Man City Women on Saturday.

The Gunners are now without winning in their last three games in the Super League for Ladies after the deceased winner of Iman Beney in the Joie Stadium in Manchester.

Mariona Caldentey canceled the first half of Bunny Shaw shortly after the interval. Kerstin Casvarij placed the city back for the front just after the hour.

Chloe Kelly thought she had secured a point for Arsenal with an 83rd minute equalizer, but the Bene was fired in the decisive goal with just two minutes of normal time.

“I think a good football was played today,” Slees told Sky Sports. “I think you can see that two top teams go against each other, momentum shifts. In spells we really did well and we made the football on the field that we wanted. It’s about the last, small details, margins in and around the box.

“Scoring goals is the most difficult part of football and that is what every small detail should be good. So that is something we look at, because if we have the momentum, we must capitalize and be ruthless and really positioned behind the ball to choke counterattacks and stop counterattacks because that is where the third goal comes from.

“Unfortunately they are to win the game and we are disappointed.”

SLESSEN admitted that her side should have done better to defend against the goals of the city.

“We have scored two great goals today and we can create opportunities, so we must continue to grind, keep concentrating on the small details that we can work on, and we know that we have the quality in the team,” added the Arsenal boss.

“We score two goals in City Away, and that is good in an attacking perspective, but we never want to admit three goals. We are not happy with that and the first goal is definitely a typical city goal, so we are disappointed.

“And the corner is one to discuss, it seems that there is a potential error on the goal, again, that is not something that we can control, and they are strong in set pieces. And the third is positional details and discipline in the counter pressure.”
