Arman Tsarukyan makes a surprising confession while talking about his nutritionist

No. 1 UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan, while speaking about his nutritionist, confessed that he missed weight earlier this year.

Tsarukyan was scheduled to fight then-155-pound champion Islam Makhachev in a rematch at UFC 311. However, the Armenian fighter pulled out of the fight at the last minute due to a back injury. While some fans believed that Tsarukyan hurt his back while demonstrating his flexibility to Nina Marie Daniele in a vlogmany disagreed with that
‘Ahalkalakets’ suffered a back injury. Others said he was unable to gain weight and backed out before hitting the scales.

In a recent video, while joking about his nutritionist, Tsarukyan admitted:

“Our nutritionist is a bull**it.” Don’t work with him. This time it worked 100%. We didn’t miss any weight like last time.”

After withdrawing from UFC 311, Tsarukyan made weight and was the official backup for the headliner of UFC 317. He also recently cashed in for his fight against Dan Hooker at UFC Qatar, winning by submission in the second round.

Dana White sends a blunt message to Arman Tsarukyan

UFC CEO Dana White recently discussed why Arman Tsarukyan didn’t get a second title fight. White has previously stated that ‘Ahalkalakets’ will have to work his way up to another title shot after withdrawing from UFC 311.

In another interview with The Mac lifeWhite opined that the promotion’s relationship with the 29-year-old remains positive and that Tsarukyan knows what’s happening behind the scenes:

“He’s here. We didn’t cut him, we don’t hate him. It is what it is. Arman knows how this happened behind the scenes. He knows it, we all know it.”
