East Rutherford, NJ – Apex (Walner) Take advantage of a pocket trip behind Harness Racing Rival Diabolic Hill before he was on his way to a dominant 1: 52.2-score-being fourth in a row in New Jersey-in the $ 250,000 New Jersey Classic for 2-year male trotters on Friday (September 5) in the Meadowlands.
Dexter Dunn kept Apex out of trouble at the first turn and both Maga Hill (driven by Yannick Gingras) and Practical Man (Todd McCarthy) broke a step in pursuing the early lead. Kapitein Jordan (Tim Tetrick) inherited that lead from the post that approached the completion of a: 29 first quarter before surrendering to Apex, who in turn delivered control to Diabolic Hill (Andy McCarthy) when reaching the rear stretch.
“We had enough room at the first turn when they both made the breaks to tackle it,” said Dunn van Apex, who was just behind the front flight in the first phases of the race. “Until the honor of the horse, he used it as a professional.”
After handing in to Diabolic Hill, who was not against each other the entire middle half, Apex was set up by splits of: 56.4 and 1: 25.2 before they drop the pins that turn home. And while McCarthy Diabolic Hill had to ask for his best stretch effort, Apex was already busy with business, and the Walner-Mission Letter Rolde Rolde to go to the leadership with 150 meters and was conveniently cleared with 5-3/4 lengths while he also shaved a full second from his previous life. Captain Jordan and Southwind Alamo (Johnathan Ahle) caught up with a breaking diabolic hill in a deep rack and gathered to finish second and third respectively.

“He felt great tonight; he traveled great during the mile,” Dunn continued. “When I brought him at the top of the straight, he did it easily at the end. He seems to learn all the time; I could no longer be satisfied with how he is progressing.”
As the 2-5 favorite, Apex $ 2.80 returned to win. Marcus Melander trains the four -fold winner, who has earned $ 272,100 for the collaboration of Jeffrey Snyder, SRF Stable and Steve Stewart.
The $ 250,000 New Jersey classic for 3-year-old male trotters clearly turned out to be more moved: Second choice The Rogue Prince Brak behind the gate, 1-2 favorite Onajetplane stuck to run for home after a long first grind of the first grinding, and first place Finisher Mountcastle switched to Gaoth-Stappen Mail Runner-Up Camerabeurstroom.

Jason Bartlett saw cameraman in seventh early in 50-1 Pacesetter Go Boom (Dunn) controlled early splits of: 27.1 and: 55.3. Onajetplane worked steadily forward to offer a mild pressure to go beyond three-quarters in 1: 23.2, but stayed home at bends, so Zeron to Slingshot Mountcastle Drie-Diep was asked in the last Furlong. But when Mountcastle hit the front and set up speed that approached the winning post, he switched to a pace, which resulted in his relegation to the second behind cameraman, who played his daring Central Stretch movement and two lengths in payment distance before he was promoted to the victory. Go Gang MakemyDay (gingras) came out of traffic to save the third about a flooded Go Boom.
Onajetplane faded to end the ninth in the field of 10 horses.
Cameraman, one Six Pack-Cameron Hill Colt with five career -victories and $ 201.927 in total wallets, is trained by Bruce Saunders for Randy Zane. He paid $ 44.00 to win, and his racing time of 1: 51.2 went two seconds to his previous lifelong marking.
“We got several breaks there,” Saunders admitted. “We were lucky twice and you have to be lucky in this game. He got a very good journey tonight. The power was perfect and Jason did great with him.
“He has improved every start. He is a happy horse; we cannot be happier for him. Great owner, great caregiver – that is what is needed to be successful in this game.”
