Anthony Joshua offers fight proposal to Tyson Fury after stopping Jake Paul | BJPenn.com

Anthony Joshua calls to finally share the ring with Tyson Fury.

Joshua needed to shake off some ring rust, and he did just that last Saturday against Jake Paul. The fight was supposed to last eight rounds, but Joshua only needed six before he broke “El Gallo”’s jaw.

Although Joshua was not satisfied with his performance against Paul, he did acknowledge that his opponent was stronger than many gave him credit for.

“So I wish I could have taken him out at the start, but as we saw tonight, Jake has spirit,” Joshua said. “He’s got some heart. He tried his best and I take my hat off to him because one, a lot of fighters haven’t been in the ring with me and Jake has. And two, even when he got knocked down, he kept trying to get up and I take my hat off to him.”

With the victory for Joshua, he is now looking for another lucrative match, and that could well come against ‘The Gypsy King’. Joshua spoke to reporters at the post-fight press conference and gave Fury an ultimatum (via Boxing scene).

“I’ll give Dosser eight weeks,” Joshua said. “Twenty-four hours to sign a contract. Let’s see if he’s a man. AJ here. Greedy belly.”

Matchrook Boxing’s Eddie Hearn chimed in to share his thoughts on potentially helping get the fight booked.

“We can do that right away,” Hearn said. “No fights in between. If Tyson is ready and AJ is ready, we don’t have to fight in February or March. I think he’s saying he has to fight.”

Most boxing experts believe that Joshua vs Fury is long overdue and should probably happen next if it ever becomes a reality. BJPenn.com will keep you updated on whether the 2026 fight will actually happen.
