Yoane Wissa plays no role in the Premier League opener of Brentford against Nottingham Forest on Sunday in the midst of doubts about his future.

Keith Andrews will go into the top flight in the Dugout for the first time as Brentford Boss, one of the many major changes during a turbulent off season.

Like Thomas Frank left for Tottenham, Bryan Mbeumo, club captain Christian Norgaard and Mark Flekken also left, with Wissa also linked to a move.

The attacker, who would like to leave the club, scored 19 goals in the Premier League in recent years and finished sixth in the Golden Boot Race. He delivered 17 of those of Opta-defined ‘big’ opportunities, with 34 general (50% conversion rate).

Newcastle United is said to be interested in the signature of Wiisa, but is said to be rejected an offer of £ 25 million plus add-ons.

Wissa would have trained during the first team and did not threaten to play for Brentford if he was not allowed to move. Since then he has returned to the training, but Andrews has chosen not to include him in the team for their journey to the city.

“I made a decision that he is not [available]”Andrews said.” It has been a very disturbed in the season-I think you are aware of that interest in Yoane.

‘[I’m] Very clear about the situation. As a head coach, I want Yoane in the building to be part of the first team and the team. I see that progressing, but I understand it very much of his situation.

“I have a very good relationship with him, and that will last, but we have to concentrate on the players who are ready to play and perform on Sunday, and I don’t think Yoane is in that space.

“He will not be involved for Yoane on Sunday.”
