This is by far the lowest point for this football club in recent history. Leicester must never see them make mistakes like this again. It was so unnecessary to get into this mess in the first place. Five years ago the club had a solid foundation. Winning the FA Cup and two fifth places in the Premier League.
The maximum deduction will be according to Air sports are six points. We certainly believed it would be less or nothing at all. We think the club will appeal. With the kind of knowledge we have, how this outcome ended up at six points is a mystery. But the panel cannot increase the deduction at this time and a fight for a lower points deduction seems more than possible.
We certainly hope this is the end of the mess, awaiting the call and another round of eyes to judge again.
There are obviously positives to be seen in this scenario. Getting this out of the way, knowing what the maximum penalty is will make it much easier to recruit a new permanent manager. You can also continue with other appointments.
At this point the club has greatly reduced their wage bill. We certainly hope the club has control over their costs. Having a huge administration and facilities equipped for Premier League life will obviously make finding that kind of staff a challenge.
It is with disappointment that Leicester City acknowledges today’s decision by the independent committee and that the club will use the time available to consider its next steps.

We can look ahead and just agree to football. It’s a good thing that this PSR chaos isn’t talked about anymore.
We certainly believe this is the final end to this mess, hopefully with a chance for Leicester to get the deduction to lower points.
