Americans abroad of the week: Josh Sargent – SBI Soccer

Josh Sargent goes into the national team of the American gentlemen in sizzling form.

Sargent scored twice on Saturday in the 2-0 gain of Norwich City on Blackburn Rovers in EFL Championship Play. The American attacker earned SBI Americans abroad of the week for his latest impressive performance.

Sargent contributed to the objectives of both Canarianen in Ewood Park and showed off the skills that made him one of the top strikers in the second -class of England.

His opening goal came from the penalty spot in the first half of the stop time, giving the Liam Manning team a 1-0 lead.

Although Blackburn played the second half to 10 men, Sargent benefited with a clinical insurance goal before the last whistle.

Pulisic came from the bank to score his first competition goal of the campaign in a 2-0 win over Lecce. The USMNT attacker only played 14 minutes, but had an essential say in the promotion.

With two goals in two performances to start the new club season, Pulisic seems to be confident for international duty.

Folarin Balogun enjoyed his first Ligue 1 goal of the new season.

Balogun once scored in the 3-2 competition victory of Monaco on Strasbourg and gave the American his first count since 3 May. The USMNT striker registered two shots and won five duels in its 90-minute version, which helped Monaco in his second victory in three games.

Balogun will now fight with Sargent this month with, among others, under Mauricio Pochettino.


Hand -In Beaten


Rokas Pukstas closed the weekend in style.

Pukstas scored twice on Sunday in the 2-2 league match of Hajduk Split with Rijeka. The American midfielder scored the equalizer of Hajduk in the first half before he again equalized in the 96th minute of the game.

Pukstas now has three goals in seven performances in this season, which has him on pace to put a new career high in that category.
