AI Impact Summit 2026 kicks off today in New Delhi. It is positioned as the first major global AI Summit meeting in the Global South. It aims to take artificial intelligence beyond laboratories and pilot projects to large-scale, real-world implementation. India AI Impact Summit 2026: When and where will it take place?

The main venue for the summit and expo is Bharat Mandapam, located in Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. Select sessions will also be held at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan and Ambedkar Bhavan. Most sessions take place between 9:30 am and 6:00 pm. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Expo at 5 p.m. The five-day event lasts until February 20. Please note that the Expo will open to the general public from February 17.

India AI Impact Summit 2026 registration and admission details

Visitors can attend for free, but must register in advance. Participants must register through the official online portal and provide personal and professional information. After confirmation, an email with a digital QR code pass will be sent. After scanning the QR pass, visitors are allowed to enter Bharat Mandapam only through the designated gates numbered 4, 7 or 10.

India AI Impact Summit 2026: who is attending?

Organizers expect more than 2.5 million visitors over five days, including more than 10,000 international delegates representing more than 100 countries. The expected world leaders include Emmanuel Macron and Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, in addition to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The summit will also feature some of the most influential names in technology, including Google CEO Sundar Pichai, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Nvidia chief Jensen Huang, Dario Amodei and DeepMind chief Demis Hassabis.

Indian industry heavyweights such as Mukesh Ambani, N. Chandrasekaran and Sridhar Vembu are also expected to attend.

What can you expect at the Expo?

Running alongside the summit is the India AI Impact Expo, spread over more than 70,000 square meters and divided into 10 arenas. More than 300 exhibitors and more than 600 startups will demonstrate AI applications already being deployed in sectors such as healthcare, governance, agriculture, education, robotics and business automation.

The exhibition pavilions are structured around three themes – People, Planet and Progress – with an emphasis on citizen service, sustainability and industrial innovation.

Thirteen country pavilions, including participants from Britain, Japan and France, will showcase joint research and cross-border AI initiatives.
