Join our workshop at Agentic encryption with R, which is part of our Workshops for Ukraine series!

Here’s some more information:

Title: Agentic encryption with R

Date: Thursday April 2, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM CET (time zone Rome, Berlin, Paris)

Speaker: Charles Crabtree is a political scientist and senior lecturer at Monash University’s School of Social Sciences. His research is at the intersection of political behavior, discrimination and research methods, with his work spanning experiments, text analysis and large-scale observational data.

Description: This workshop introduces agentic coding for R: using AI assistants that can help you plan, write, execute, and revise multi-step analysis workflows while keeping your work transparent and reproducible. Using Warp.dev as a concrete interface, we’ll walk through practical patterns for (1) turning messy research tasks into clear, auditable steps, (2) writing R code securely, (3) generating documentation and analysis notes as you work, and (4) developing a paper trail that you can share with co-authors or future selves. A key focus is adversarial agentic coding: pairing a “builder” agent with a separate “reviewer” agent that attempts to break, check, and improve the code the first agent produced – stress-testing assumptions, finding silent errors, and proposing solutions. The emphasis is not on quick tricks, but on reliable habits: how to restrain the agent, verify the output, and integrate the agent’s help into real projects (data cleaning, modeling, tables and figures, and report generation). Participants leave with copy-paste templates that they can reuse immediately.

Minimum registration fee: 20 euros (or 20 USD or 800 UAH)

Please note that registration confirmation will be sent to all registered participants 1 day before the workshop and not immediately after registration

If you are not interested in attending, you can also contribute by sponsoring a student’s participation, who can then participate for free. If you choose to sponsor a student, all proceeds also go directly to organizations working in Ukraine. You can sponsor a specific student or you can leave it up to us so that we can allocate the sponsored spot to students who have signed up for the waiting list.
