It’s a big sporting weekend with LIV Golf Adelaide, the return of AFL Origin and Australia vs India Women’s T20 cricket.
After a break of 25 years AFL origin returns to Perth this weekend, with Live on Seven.
Seven’s coverage starts tonight at 8.30pm with a special preview entertainment show Origin countdownbroadcast live from outside Optus Stadium, hosted by James Brayshaw and Abbey Holmes. Starring Luke Hodge, Brian Taylor, Daisy Pearce and Campbell Brown.
Fans can also expect live performances from AFL superstars Nick Daicos, Tom Barrass and Chad Warner, AFL Origin coaches Chris Scott and Dean Cox, Western Australian royalty Nat Fyfe, Ben Cousins and Nic Naitanui, as well as many others.
As part of the show, AFL Agenda Setters presenter Kane Cornes embarks on an 18 kilometer run through Perth, departing from the Scarborough Beach Markets and arriving on set via the famous Matagurup Bridge next to Optus Stadium.
The on-field football action kicks off from 7pm AEDT on Saturday, February 14, as Victoria and Western Australia’s biggest superstars go head-to-head in front of a sold-out Optus Stadium. It marks the first State of Origin clash in more than 25 years, following the 1999 showdown between Victoria and South Australia.
Football’s No. 1 commentary team will lead Seven’s live coverage from Optus Stadium, featuring Brian Taylor, James Brayshaw, Kane Cornes, Luke Hodge and Abbey Holmes, with Western Australian favorite and former AFL superstar Nic Naitanui on the border.
Immediately following Seven’s AFL Origin post-game coverage, viewers can look forward to the premiere of No Holds Barred, a brand new docuseries in the 2025 GWS Giants season.
The eight-part series offers an exclusive look at the club’s 2025 AFL season, featuring stars Toby Greene, Sam Taylor, Finn Callaghan and retired Callan Ward, along with head coach Adam Kingsley.
After the first episode, the remaining seven episodes will be made available for free streaming on 7plus Sport.
Also on Saturday evening, Bruce McAvaney, the voice of Australian athletics, will call all the action live from the Perth Track Classic from 8pm AEDT on 7plus Sport.
On Sunday, February 15, at 11am on 7mate and 7plus, the Sydney Championship action continues with the Supercars Preview Show ahead of the first round in Sydney on February 21-22. Hosted by 7NEWS Sydney’s Matt White with Mark Winterbottom and David Reynolds, the show revisits the exciting 2025 Championship and previews the first event of the 2026 season.
Seven’s huge sporting weekend continues on Sunday evening with Women’s International Cricket, as Australia returns to the world stage for the first installment of the Australia v India International Series, the first T20 match at the Sydney Cricket Ground, live and free from Sunday, 7.30pm on 7mate and 7plus Sport.
