Fans spread over Wharton’s warm-up while praised as a ‘Pep Man City recruit’
One fan wrote: “He has the signature of Pep on his face”, while another noticed: “He gets the feeling of the field and the stadium, he coordinates.”
One added: “He’s going all the way for it. Tommy Tuchel can’t stop him.” A fourth wrote: “Top drawer this boy.”
Others were not particularly convinced of the warm-up, where some claimed that the user had looked too far in nothing.
One said: “The man literally only looks around during a warm-up. You can’t play in midfield and not look around”, while a second remarked: “This is not a monumental concept or skill, but it’s nice to see how he uses it in his warm-up.”
Manchester United is said to be interested in Wharton, but has other transfer options on the radar before January and next summer.
