Single-family homes
This graph shows the number of impressions per ad per month in south-central Wisconsin. The number of viewings of single-family homes in 2025 (the green line) shows a lower trend compared to the number of viewings in 2024 (the blue line). The number of impressions per ad decreased from 4.26 in October 2024 to 4.0 in October 2025, a decrease of 6 percent.
Apartments
For apartments in South Central Wisconsin, the decline in showings is more pronounced. The number of views per apartment listing fell from 3.65 in October 2024 to 3.03 in October 2025, a decline of 17 percent.

The big picture
The trend toward fewer impressions is a sign that the market is trending toward more balance, with buyers and sellers operating on a more level playing field. Many buyers are learning that there is real opportunity in the market right now, especially with mortgage interest trend lower. Sellers, on the other hand, learn that they must be strategic with their pricing, presentation and marketing.
