This morning we listened to the fun program “Good Morning Foxes” on the radio Blue tinted glasses You Tube channel. It gives us an idea of what certain fans think. It also shows what they think are the right answers. A surprisingly cozy atmosphere? The members of the panel differ in opinion, as do we all. Some dream about Ange Postecouglou, others prefer to continue with Marti Cifuentes.
The fan panel this morning was good. There were people of different ages. They all had different ideas and thoughts, but agreed on some. To make this channel a reliable source of quality information, more of this type of information is needed. This provides a basis for the opinions of fans, both abroad and at home. Hopefully they will do this more often. According to most sources with updates on Leicester, we believe this is a channel with huge potential. They have bits and pieces of great content. We have seen a few transfers and loans on this channel. They also bring in guests, as they can also be seen on screen on other fan channels. But all in all, BTG reflects Leicester’s fanbase brilliantly.
We agree on much of what is said. Aaron Ramsey and Jordan James are quality players, there’s no doubt about that. But those two are very young and not really leaders yet. Jacub Stolarczyk is also young, as is Luke Thomas. Jannik Vestergaard and Ricardo Pereira are both important players. However, they are not at the perfect age to bring long-term stability. They are not the players who can carry out this project for the next four or five seasons. Marti Cifuentes faces many difficulties. He has not won a game since that big away win against Swansea at the beginning of October.
Ramsey is currently out and there is no one to replace him. Jordan James is a box-to-box midfielder, Aaron Ramsey is an attacking option. At the moment, Leicester’s best defensive option in midfield is Hamza Choudhury. He’s not playing. Harry Winks, Bouba Soumare and Oliver Skipp are somewhat hybrid players. They don’t really fit Marti Cifuentes’ mold when it comes to midfield players.
We proposed a rotation in advance. In any case, Stephy Mavididi had opportunities in front of goal yesterday. He ends up in situations where he can potentially score. Abdul Fatawu and Jeremy Monga are certainly players who can perform at this level. Julian Carranza, Patson Daka and Jordan Ayew have to move on. However, it will be difficult to have them around. They all expire their contracts this summer. These players do not suit Marti Cifuentes and his type of football. The one who seems like the best option right now is Patson Daka. However, I prefer Stephy Mavididi, Jeremy Monga and Abdul Fatawu up front. They are all better scorers and players than Ayew, Daka and Carranza.
Hamza Choudhury seems to be overlooked as an alternative to the defensive midfield role. He is the best option there with Ramsey and James. Choudhury can fight and tackle. Harry Winks is an option, but seems far from businesslike. This team is in transition.

Currently, this Leicester project looks a lot like what it was when Nigel Pearson joined the club for his second spell. The project under NP also had a slow start and took two seasons to get it completed.
Nigel Pearson played against Portsmouth on the last day of 2011. Leicester managed to play a 1-1 draw at home, which sounds familiar. The line-up; Schmeichel, Peltier, Mills, Bamba, Konchesky, Wellens, Abe, King, Gallagher, Schlupp, Nugent, Subs: Howard, Dyer, Beckford, Weale, Danns.
On the last day of 2012, Leicester played Burnley away and won 1-0. The line-up: Schmeichel, De Laet, Morgan, Moore, Konchesky, Marshall, Drinkwater, James, Dyer, Knockaert, Nugent, Subs: King, Logan, Waghorn, Keane, Gallagher, Schlupp, Futacs.
If you look at the two lineups, a number of players have been changed. Peltier, Mills, Bamba, Wellens, Abe, Weale, Beckford, Danns and Howard have all left. That is eight changes compared to a year ago.
Marti Cifuentes is a man who is far from afraid of transition. He will make rotations and changes as we have seen. We know from his past that he can do this to show everyone what his problems are. Playing against Victor Kristiansen yesterday was such a decision. He gave Luke Thomas minutes because he believed in him. During his time at Sandefjord Fotball he made over 40 transfers in and out. We do know that he is currently risking results to test his environment. He gives certain signals to show everyone what needs to be done. However, his decision-making is currently walking a very fine line.
We all know that the next two to three games will be of great importance for Marti Cifuentes. At the moment, the team and the project seem far from being in order. Pereira has been a puzzle so far. Yesterday he looked like he was making progress. making good runs and looking sharper. We hope he can peak his performance in the future.
Let’s hope this build and setup will deliver results. It currently looks fragile and far from concrete. His chopping and switching suggests he isn’t in full control at this point. Hopefully Marti Cifuentes finds his blue tinted glasses, puts them on and pushes forward in the right direction. We are waiting for the next game to be released as soon as possible. Leicester are back in action on Tuesday and play at home against Middlesbrough.
