ACE Bailey’s Jazz Future can be predicted with recent milestone

Ace Bailey has to play another game for the Utah Jazz, but there is a lot of hype around him and for a good reason. Although the expectations should not be too high right away, the most recent milestone of Bailey might be a sign of where things are going and the jazz: with his number retired in the trusses.

For obvious reasons, nobody should set the bar that is now so high for Bailey until he shows that he not only has that potential, but he can bring the jazz to new heights. Anyway, the high school of Bailey, McEachern, has retired his number. Bailey not only stood out for the program, but also brought two titles to the school in 2023 and 2024.

It shows the kind of impact that Bailey has on his teams. Although many will refute that idea that Rutgers’ in the insufficient performance was when they had him and Dylan Harper run last year, a meaningful statistics show that their shortcomings as a team were not in Bailey. More than that, Stat said that Bailey’s skills will translate into the NBA.

It is not entirely unusual for an NBA player to see his number retire by the team for which he played, but this is good proof of both Bailey’s talent and his impact. If he can bring that kind of impact to Utah, it is impossible to say what can come in the near future.

Again, it exerts too much pressure to expect that he is an all-timer immediately, and like every exciting young person, he will have some growing pains, but stories like these show why the jazz does not think twice about taking Bailey when they had the chance.

The jazz does not have too much retired number in the trusses

Although the jazz is known for their consistent success as a franchise, which usually comes from the John Stockton/Karl Malone era, there are not many names that are retired by the team.

In addition to Stockton and Malone, the retired jazz players and staff are Jerry Sloan, Frank Layden, Larry H. Miller, Pete Maravich, Adrian Dantley, Marc Eaton, Darrell Griffith and Jeff Hornacek. There is a good chance that Rudy Gobert will join them in the coming years, and Donovan Mitchell might as well.

This is all to point out that there is enough room for Bailey to join this valued jazzalumnus. If Bailey only continues to prove how good a basketball player he is in a short time, he can see his name in the trusses, just as he has with McEachern.
