Connection rod tray in the 3.5L V6 engines caused a recall in November 2023 after owners complained about engine noise, reduced capacity, illuminated warning lights and stalled engines.
Honda said that the problems with the motor connection rod bearing were caused by errors when the crankshafts were manufactured.
A year later, NHTSA opened an investigation into the Honda Connecting Rod -Lager error to remember whether all affected vehicles were included in the recall. More than 173 complaints were submitted about engine problems and failures, but the vehicles were not involved in the recall of the subsequent rod.
First it seemed that the 3.5L V6 engine errors were caused by the same cranks problems. But over time, researchers concluded that the engine problems were not caused by the same crankshaft abnormalities that caused the recall.
Safety rulers say that the “significant number of reports on motor -out” justify additional investigation.
NHTSA has concluded its original investigation into the vehicles that were recalled for connecting bar bearing disturbances and has opened a new study into Acura and Honda vehicles that were not included in the recall of 2023.
