“Absolutely not” – Howe rejects new Alexander Isak as Liverpool Eye Second Bid

The last 24 hours at Tyneside may have given us the largest indicator, until Alexander Isak could finally be on its way from Newcastle United.

The approaching arrival of the German striker Nick Wolade, in combination with our constant interest in Yoane Wissa, will offer a much -needed boost that the constant absence of Isak has required us.

Of course there is still the issue of Liverpool that has to cough up British record costs to sign the Swede, otherwise our owners can very well stick to their weapons and keep Isak at the club, despite previous reports that we had a ‘men’s agreement’ with Isak to allow him to leave if these conditions met.

In the meantime, Eddie Howe has shot all the knowledge of such similarities or discussions with Isak and seems to keep the conversations away from the future of Isak, instead aimed at his available players and potential additions.

Speaking with the media for Saturday’s game to Leeds United, Howe was asked by Luke Edwards of the Telegraph about the continuous striker situation with Isak, Woltemade and Wissa.

De Gaffer has denied all the claims that Isak is promised a move if two attackers have been brought in, despite rumors that still swirl that that is the case.

“Absolutely not,” Said Howe in response. “I have never made promises to players with regard to transfers, because in the end I have no control over the whole thing. So I never make such a promise to a player.”

“But of course, as I have said so often with conversations with Alex, I’m not going to reveal the dialogue because I don’t believe that is healthy.”

It is a fair question, and this is what how to say earlier today in his follow -up answer:

“Well, we have not introduced anyone yet, we are trying that. And as I said before, I think it is best to do, from my position, reflect and analyze if we can make a signature and see what we do below.”

“As I said Luke, that is up to other people to decide at the moment. I have no control over those discussions and conversations, so I concentrate on trying to bring players to the club and improve the team.”

It is clear as a day that the Isak-Saga has taken its toll on the team this summer, which has heavily hindered our campaign for the season and the start of the season.

Because of Squad Harmony, many believe that the sale of Isak should be done, and that the duo of Woltemade and Wissa in its place is the right move.

Howe has not made his feelings completely clear about the situation, sitting on the fence by believing that Isak can be re -integrated into the team. But that he must show that he must get the privilege to put on the black and stripes for the club.

It is expected that Liverpool will soon launch a second bid, so we will have to hope that it will be much higher than the £ 110 million to punish his sale if a second striker follows Wotemade through the door on Tyneside.
