Manchester United has reportedly carried out a transfer U-turn on the expected signing of goalkeeper Abdulla Al-Hammadi.
Al-Hammadi impresses Carrington
Earlier this month it emerged that United offered a weighed contract to Al-Hammadi after he was under the test.
Al-Hammadi brought Carrington for a few weeks and United was thought that they would like to keep him after the exit of Hubert Graczyk.
United insured the services of Graczyk last summer of Arsenal, but he only lasted one season for his exit in United, after he had made a few performances for young people under 21.
On Sunday, Steven Railston from Manchester Evening News Relaf that United had taken the decision to complete the signing of Al-Hammadi with a free transfer.
Railston stated: “Al-Hammadi has impressed the staff and is expected to complete a move to United, subject to registration. The goalkeeper is a free agent, which means that United does not have to complete the deal before the transfer period.”
It was thought that the 20-year-old would be a signing of an academy instead of an addition to the first team.
However, it seems that the deal will not cross the line.

Railston has given an update on the situation, indicating that United has chosen against the official adding of Al-Hammadi to their ranks.
“I have now been told that this step will not happen.”

It is unclear why United has withdrawn from the signing of Al-Hammadi.
In the meantime, the Red Devils have concluded a complete agreement with Royal Antwerp for Senne Lammens, who racet to seal his switch to United before the transfer window closes.
