A sprinter betting that extensively extends to place a cotillion stakes upset

Three of the best 3-year-old mares in the United States will be confronted in the $ 1 million Cotillion Stakes on Saturday, a degree 1 race on 1 1/16 miles on Parx Racing.

#1 Scottish Lassie#2 FaceAnd #7 Good cheers are all proven winners of degree 1. But they all have questions to answer.

Scottish Lassie is occasionally brilliant. Last year she won the grade 1 Frizette Stakes with nine lengths. Two months ago she hit the grade 1 coaching club American Oaks Invitational Stakes with 15 1/2 lengths. But in between, she suffered a series of decisive defeats, including when third in the 1 DK Horse Acorn Stakes to La Cara. Consistency has not been a strong suit for the Scottish Lassie.

The same applies to La Cara. The front running Merrieveeulen enjoyed a productive spring, which led from start to finish to win the acorn with three lengths and the grade 1 Central Bank Ashland Stakes with 1 1/4 lengths. But in between, she finished ninth until good cheers in the Longines Kentucky Oaks and she came back home behind Good Cheer when she ran a distant fourth in last month’s Alabama, presented by the sale of Keeneland.

Speaking of good cheers, she won the first seven starts of her career, marked by a rally of 2 ¼ length triumph in the Kentucky Oaks. But she then finished a non -threatening fifth in the acorn. She bounced back to become second in the Alabama, but the appearance of invincibility that she radiated earlier this year is blurred.

In general, good courage is perhaps the most reliable of the Cotillion participants. Because Scottish Lassie and La Cara are both speed horses, there is a chance that they duel for the leadership and set up Good Cheer’s Late Rally.

But what if #4 Indy Bay Does the show steal?

Indy Bay has won four of her last five starts, including the grade 2 Charles Town Oaks and Jersey Girl Stakes. Along the way she has earned sharp speed figures that are well stacked on the field of the Cotillion.

Indy Bay has to walk a race more than seven-year-old, but she has been bred to tackle the distance, and Brisnet statistics indicate that trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. Win with a strong 24% percentage with horses that are running a route distance for the first time.

Indy Bay’s combination of early speed and traceability should lead to a perfect journey that Scottish Lassie and La Cara are stalking while getting the leap on good courage. We recommend bet Indy Bay at the top of Exacta and Trifecta tickets using the favorites underneath.
