76ers get the cold shoulder while the NBA sends a brutal memory

The Philadelphia 76ers are absolutely not in excellent condition as a franchise – at least, that is what the competition signals after their most recent decision to completely skip them in the annual Christmas games that are planned for this year.

After three consecutive seasons from the slate of the NBA’s Christmas Day, the 76 people will be outside this year. Some may call this a “snub”, but in reality the team probably deserves to get the cold shoulder on this.

Last season Philadelphia succeeded in one way or another to deliver the best victory on Christmas-and their best victory all season long, they defeated the defending champions, the Boston Celtics, on the way to the amount of a narrow four-point victory. Of course everything went downhill after their characteristic victory, but that was definitely one of the most memorable dubs of the entire season.

The 76ers enter the 2025-26 season and bear a whole series of question marks, even though they have already been dressed in completely mystery. Their range of possible results is as spacious as it can be, where this team has the opportunity to be a first -class competition and at the same time the start of a possible lottery team.

The 76ers get a hard memory after Christmas Snub

Looking at the teams who received the call to play at Christmas, the exclusion of the 76ers is completely logical.

When Reported for the first time by ESPN’s Shams CharaniaThe following squadrons will see action on December 25: Cavaliers, Knicks, Spurs, Thunder, Rockets, Lakers, Mavericks, Warriors, Timberwolves and Nuggets.

The Thunder is obvious because they are reigning champions. And of course the Lakers, Knicks and Warriors – the largest market teams in the competition – will probably never be on Christmas.

The Cavaliers, Rockets, Timberwolves and Nuggets are also easy Shoo-Ins because of their serious success in recent years, especially last season. In the meantime, the Spurs and Mavericks have some of the smartest prospects in the NBA with people like Victor Wembanyama, Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper and Stephon Castle, not to mention established stars in Anthony Davis and Klay Thompson.

Unlike those teams, the 76 people bring nothing new to the table to solve things on Christmas given their mysterious profile. The competition is counting on stories to increase reviews, and Philly does not currently have that compelling air on them. Heck, even the Celtics and the Pacers will sit outside because of their best players who are offside with injuries.

Although this can be an unknown sight for newer 76ers fans, this is in no way a bit against them. The competition calls a kick a kick, and Philly is not at the moment.
