Are you on your way to Amsterdam? It’s just to congratulate, it’s a city that has everything you would like (but also something you can do without). In this message you will find inspiration, concrete tips and links to facilitate the planning of your trip to the Netherlands.

When my best friend and I turned 30, there was no doubt that we would travel to celebrate this big milestone! We were both pregnant and also had Toddlers at home, which resulted in the following list of the following requirements in our weekend:
- A place where none of us had been …
- … not too far away from Sweden
- Walking -friendly
- Good food
- Beautiful buildings and good cultural selection
After we had sent some suggestions back and forth, we could both agree to book a weekend in Amsterdam. We walked a lot of good food and went to the museum at the end. If you want to do some research for the coming trip, I have collected some tips in this message. Nice trip!
The message contains advertising links/Adlinks that can give me a small committee if you choose to book accommodation for tips from me.
Travel to Amsterdam: Podcast section, links and tips!
#1. A podcast area of travel to Amsterdam
Do you prefer to listen to travel tips instead of reading them? In that case I recommend This part of traveling pod that was released a few weeks ago. Here you get a good introduction to Amsterdam and his attractions, but also concrete tips about excursions just outside the city.
#2. Tips in Museum in Amsterdam

If you want to experience the Museum of the World Class, Amsterdam is a destination that will not disappoint you. Several of them are collected in one and the same place in Museuplein (which can be translated into Swedish into the Museumplein). Here are some of my favorite tips:
- Anne Franks Museum: A visit to Prinsengracht 237 should of course be during a visit to Amsterdam. At this address, in the attachment to the building that now acts as a museum, hidden Anne and her family two years before they were finally discovered. Nowadays it is required that you Order tickets online online For a specific time – so you can’t buy tickets on the site.
- Rijksmuseum: Here we can talk about Museum – the largest in the Netherlands. Here are more than 8,000 works from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. The most famous? The Night Watch By Rembrandt. Read more about Rijksmuseum.
- Van Gogh: Here you will find many works by Van Gogh that have been collected under one roof. A few hundred paintings, more than double the number of drawings and even more letters. Here visitors can follow the artist closely through eras, feelings and stories. Read more about The website.
- NEMO Science Museum: If you travel to Amsterdam with the family, the Nemo Science Museum can be a nice stop during the trip. Here are many interactive elements in a building that almost looks like a ship. Expect many experiments and also a really cool roof terrace with a view of the whole of Amsterdam! Read more about The NEMO Science Museum website.
#3. Excursions outside Amsterdam

Do you like Flower Splendor? In that case there is no doubt that Keukenhof is a tourist destination that you must experience somewhere in life. My big sister only went to Amsterdam to experience this large botanical garden full of all possible colors and designs between plants and flowers. Read more about Keukenhof’s website (And make sure you plant your visit well, this garden is extremely popular and attracts thousands of visitors every day during the high season).
#4. Living tips in Amsterdam

Amsterdam is a really good hotel city where you can find both stylish and cool hotels. Here I have collected some specific accommodation that I have or had to spark. What my own side had, I had invested in a hotel just next to the Groen in Vondelpark!
- Jan Luyken – Central and housed in a mansion, I have heard good grades about this beautiful and reasonably affordable hotel. Read more and book here (Adlink).
- Hotel twenty – If I had gone to Amsterdam today, I would have liked to live in this boutique hotel next to Dam Square. Duration? Giant, but during the off season you can squeeze the rooms cheaper. Read more and book here (Adlink).
- Cushions Grand Boutique Hotel Maurits in the park – If we still talk about boutique hotels, this place (with type in the longest name in the world is also worth mentioning. Read more and book here (Adlink).
- Hotel Pestana Amsterdam – If you want a hotel with five star with a golden edge, this hotel can be another option. Here you can check in in a beautiful beautiful old building right next to the Albert Cuypmarkt market. Read more and book here (Adlink).
