Manchester by the Sea, Mass. (WHDH)-Rescue-Bewelions in Manchester-by-The-Sea traveled five people from a sinking sailboat on Thursday.
Civil servants say that a marine patrol saw the boat in an unusual environment sitting low in the water. The boat partially fell on the way back to the port of Manchester.
The Manchester Sailing Association says that four students and one instructor were on board the 18-foot MSA throat boast. High wind and high wave heights contributed to the incident.
In a statement, the association said partially: “Every sailor remained calm during the process and followed instructions exactly as they had been trained. All wore rescue jackets and no one was injured. The transfer to the patrol boat was completed smoothly and safely and the sailors returned shortly thereafter, where they were checked by manne.
