There is no doubt that the Phoenix Suns are about to enter a re-tooling phase that will determine the rest of their decade. If they can quickly see improvement around Devin Booker – and that means that Rookies contribute earlier than expected and this man has a major defensive impact – then the over/bottom of around 31.5 victories for them will look very foolish.
That is, however, the optimistic point of view – and although Koby Brea let people talk to their play on Summer League – there is no guarantee that translates into a long regular season that will contain the Suns that play superior opponents on most nights. However, the valley is on board because they know that this version of the team at least gives it and will try.
These three suns will exceed expectations in 2025-26.
No two players in Phoenix have the same expectations for obvious reasons, and we have made the case that no one will be more pressure on them to perform than Jalen Green. That is the prize to be the main name that the Suns returned to a Kevin Durant trade, although there is plenty to find about the attacking game of the 23-year-old.
3. Ryan Dunn
If you thought that last year’s version of The Suns was set up for a rookie Ryan Dunn to excel, you haven’t seen anything yet. He came from the hot of the blocks because he could not miss a 3 -point reach – who had not been in the reconnaissance report – but once he finished from outside the arch, he also did his production.
Dunn was still one of the best wing and man-to-man defenders who had a schedule, and it was all the more emphasized due to the lack of effort of in principle all others. The Suns allowed 117.7 points per match – the fourth worst figure in the competition – but with Dunn there it reduced a few to 115.1.
So although Dunn looked impressive because of his 6’8 “frame and the fact that he tried defensively every night, he will be even better in year two because the team as a whole is now dedicated to defend every night. Head coach Jordan Ott ensures that that also happens, which can see some games start and the Suns rating falls even more.
2. Devin Booker
It may be surprised to see the best player of the Suns on this list – but if you look back last season – is the only way to be a superstar (which is still booker) in its prime. We have already seen something in the media PEG Booker for a huge season next year, and it makes sense because everything is completely over him again.

Even the Dilemma of the Point Guard that the organization has been resolved without the involvement of Booker, with rumors that Green could be the one who starts the campaign. Whether that is true or not, the franchise corner stone gets just as many shots, touches and minutes as he wants to do this group to some victories.
He will be an all-star again and we think he will make all-nba, even if the suns as a group do not make the play-in tournament. If I had Durant and Bradley Beal in Phoenix forgot that many people forget how electric is a scorer – and serious a competitor – booker, and he will remind everyone while he is probably an average of 30 a night in the process. He will be so nice to look at again.
1. Dillon Brooks
We are going to believe that Brooks can be the defensive Lynchpin that the franchise has long been missing. Comparisons with Drayond Green as a player are clearly far from the goal, but he can have that kind of impact in the valley next season. The defensive Quarterback talks through his younger teammates through possessions.
For example, Rookie Big Kaman Maluach will like to have Brooks to coach him through situations on the field, while he can be the green for Booker’s Stephen Curry because he can be the bad guy who likes to hate rival fans. We know how much he thrives in that role and he will have a point to prove that he was so easily sent from Houston by the rockets.
Everything is set for Brooks to fully exceed the expectations and in reality to surpass Green while he does it. The only way is for the Suns as a defensive team, while he set 39.7 percent at 6.3 attempts from deep last season, both career heights. There are some worries in Texas that Brooks was the heart of their team – and now that he is gone – it is the suns that will benefit.
