Khabib Nurmagomedov does not want Conor McGregor to continue on the path he follows.
McGregor has had its part of legal issues and other walk -in outside the competition. Many within the MMA community believe that it has been an important fall of grace for the man who was once considered a special talent in the Octagon. Some are also disappointed that McGregor has not used his popularity for positivity, because he often finds his name in the headlines for an incident.
Nurmagomedov does not feel that it is too late for the “notorious” to turn things around in his personal life. During a Q&A session for Miftaah Institute, “The Eagle” McGregor’s misery outside the Octagon discussed, and he feels that there is time for his old rival to bounce back (via Happy Punch).
“If you are talking about religion, nation and parents, it is ready. Everything that happened to him with women, alcohol and drugs. This is punishment.
It doesn’t matter how bad you are, Allah always gives the chance to come back. He has opportunities. If he is going to change, he can also change so many other lives. That is why I wish he will change himself. “
Nurmagomedov and McGregor had a fierce rivalry that came outside the Octagon. McGregor and his group attacked a hunting bus with Nurmagomedov in 2018. In the end, “The Eagle” McGregor served in their lightweight title fight. After the game, Nurmagomedov jumped into the crowd to go after McGregor’s teammate, Dillon Danis.
The two are displayed to trade in their personal feud without ending. McGregor had hoped for a rematch, but Nurmagomedov withdrew after winning a victory of the technical entry over Justin Gaethje in 2020. “The eagle” said his mother’s wish to retire after the death of his father, Abdulmanap, eventually led to his decision.
