Don’t let that high level fool you, because Miguel Santos played in just one game at Triple-A (and six at High-A), so he’s really WAY old for Low-A ball. And yet he was an unremarkable player.

Signed as a UDFA with Dallas Baptist University in 2024, Santos’ five-game audition for Winston-Salem seemed to show enough promise for his assignment to Low-A to start in 2025 to be a symbolic one. However, he struggled with Kanny all season and never moved up in a resonant manner.

So how does Santos appear in our Top 100? There is defensive flexibility (second, third and short) and some speed. And then there’s the matter of his first taste of the White Sox, which showed solid strength for his frame. But at age 25 for the 2026 season, Santos will have to return to the solid two-way player the White Sox signed him to a year ago if his career wants to have any legs.

Expect a return to Kannapolis in early 2026 unless his age requires an assignment to Winston-Salem.
