Welcome back to the 16th annual DRaysBay Community Prospect List voting.
How to vote: A selection of players will be listed in the article and then in the comments below. To vote, reply to the name you want to vote for with a +1 in the comment. The polls will be posted three times a week and voting is expected to take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
For the best voting experience, I recommend filter the comments section by Oldest.
If you want to vote for a player who is not on the listthere will be an ‘Others’ note. Reply to that comment with the name of your selection. This is incredibly rare as there are ultimately a maximum of ten players to choose from, but it is possible that a player you feel strongly about has slipped through the cracks.
If you would like to nominate a player for inclusion in the next pollreply to the ‘Testers’ comment with that player’s name. We often limit the number of players accepted for the next poll to prevent the list from becoming cumbersome. Any players in one poll who do not win the vote are automatically included in the next poll; there is no need to nominate again.
Should the Rays make a trade that adds a prospect to the system, there will be a special election to determine where, if anywhere, the new player fits on the running list. If the Rays trade away a player who is already on the roster, we will simply update the numbers and continue voting.
Please vote based on the criteria you prefer! If you like statistics, use statistics. If you like scouting reports, check out those reports. There is no one right way to do this; that’s what makes this exercise so much fun. We encourage civil discussion on every vote after the “Discussion” comment. Make your case to your favorite prospects there!
