In an exciting women’s final, Hu defeated the two-time champion of Japan Hikaru Mori (57.320) with a winning score of 57.350, performing her routine with poise and precision.
The 26-year-old Hu improved on her bronze medal from the 2023 world championships, adding to the bronze she won in the synchronized women’s event earlier in the day.
In that match, Hikaru had the last laugh and won the gold medal Saki Tanaka with a winning score of 50,250. Reigning Olympic champion Bryony page of Great Britain and Isabelle Songhurst scored 49.990 to earn the silver medal.
In the men’s individual trampoline final, Wang ended his routine with a triple pike for a winning score of 63.470.
Wang was in a class of his own, claiming the top step of the podium Ruben Padilla (61,950), and Miyano Hayato rounding out the podium with 61,350.
Olympic champion Ivan Litvinovich And Andrei Builou won the men’s synchronized event with a dominant score of 54.670. Yusei Matsumoto And Miyano Hayato finished second with 52.930, while Chen Yuhan And Wang Dong achieved bronze with a score of 52.140.
