In the fall, a weekend getaway to a nice city in Europe can be a great fit! We recommend ten nice cities that are perfect for an autumn trip, both nearby and further away.

1. Prague, Czech Republic

Prague is always right: a beautiful city with a historic center that is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. There are many impressive buildings here, but also many other experiences such as museums, theaters, boat trips and food tours.

2. Budapest, Hungary

Budapest is another weekend classic that we can highly recommend. This city is also on the UNESCO list and here you will find sights such as the Chain Bridge, Buda Castle and the Fisherman’s Bastion. You will also find really good restaurants in this city!

3. Rome, Italy

The Italian capital Rome manages to be a big city that feels romantic and cozy at the same time. Attractions such as the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum and the Roman Forum are also attractive here. A city you must visit at least once in your life!

There are many nice cities in Poland and Wroclaw is one of our favorites. The market square in Gamla Stan offers a beautiful setting with colorful houses and a great choice of restaurants and cafes. In the city you can also look for all the little dwarf statues that can be found everywhere…

Split is our absolute favorite city in Croatia. Diocletian’s Palace was built in the 2nd century and within the walls of this huge building are the historical parts of Split. There is a lot of history here, as well as restaurants, shops, museums, spas, boat trips and beautiful walks.
