BMW R1300GS
Price: $20,275
This is the most powerful BMW adventure bike available today, thanks to a 1,300cc boxer-twin engine that produces 145 horsepower and 110 pound-feet of torque. This, in combination with the optional automatic transmission and final axle drive, increases the spirited and relaxed motorway touring potential.
Then there’s the unique BMW EVO Telever front suspension and the BMW Parallelver rear suspension, which, with its dynamic suspension tuning and electronic add-ons, helps fine-tune driving dynamics to suit changing terrain. Although not very compact, BMW still impresses by packaging its flagship ADV in a much sleeker form factor than its predecessor: the R 1250 GS.
9
Suzuki GSX-S1000GT+
Price: $14,299
This is a cleverly put together Suzuki sports tourer that can do it all. It is powered by a 999cc high-revving inline-4 sportbike engine that produces 150 horsepower and 79.6 pound-feet of torque, making it the most powerful motorcycle on this list.
Despite having an aggressive design language, the riding triangle promises to be relaxed with a not-so-committed handlebar and neutrally placed footpegs. It features top specifications such as fully adjustable suspension, Brembo monoblock brakes and configurable ABS to take its sportiness and comfort to the next level. There are even standard hard side cases included.
8
Triumph Tiger Sport 800
Price: $12,645
Despite being a brand new motorcycle, the Tiger Sport 800 is the only dedicated sports tourer in the middleweight category. The Tiger Sport 800 is powered by a three-cylinder engine that produces 113 hp and 70 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, it has a tall riding position, a relaxed triangle and ample wind protection, with a high, factory-installed adjustable windshield.
The technological features are extensive, including switchable traction control, cornering ABS, ride-by-wire, riding modes, quickshifter and cruiser control. Plus, it has a fairly sleek form factor, a compact 56.0-inch wheelbase, and a curb weight of less than 500 pounds, making this Triumph a formidable urban companion as well.

Yamaha YZF-R9
Price: $12,499
While Japanese sports bikes have always excelled in terms of reliability and value, they have lagged behind the Italians in exotic appeal. However, that changes with the versatile new Yamaha R9. It is powered by a punchy 889 cc three-cylinder engine that produces 117.5 hp and 68.6 Nm of torque.
You also get a bold and sharp design, complete with integrated winglets. The basis is derived from the MT-09 streetfighter, but adapted for the race track. These features ensure that this Yamaha can be both a reasonably comfortable racing bike and a great track machine.
6
BMW F900 XR
Price: $11,995
The F 900 XR is a formidable all-rounder. It’s BMW’s Swiss army knife, a bike that can do track days, cross-country tours, weave around carved mountain roads and even be a comfortable urban runabout. Oh, and it can comfortably seat a pillion too.
This versatile Beamer is powered by an 895 cc parallel twin that produces 105 hp and 68 Nm of torque. Its tall riding position, with over 6.5 inches of travel at each end, and a relaxed triangle set the stage for a capable adventure bike, with a dash of trail appeal. The sleek form factor and sub-500-pound curb weight further aid its city driving skills.
5
Honda CBR650R E-clutch
Price: $9,899
The Honda CBR650R is a versatile middleweight sportbike, powered by a 649cc four-cylinder engine (the last of its kind) that produces 93.8 horsepower and 46.4 pound-feet of torque. It has a foundation that matches the bike by promising a mix between track and road performance. However, this Honda triumphs over its competition and even the big guns from the segment above it with its E-Clutch function.
This essentially eliminates the use of the clutch lever, not only for upshifts and downshifts on the move, but also from a standstill. It is technically a smarter version of a traditional quickshifter. This feature alone allows this Honda to conquer urban roads and highways like no other sports bike can.
4
Honda rebel 1100
Price: $9,699 (manual) / $10,399 (automatic)
This is the most affordable liter class cruiser bike on sale today. The Rebel 1100 is a unique motorcycle, with the same parallel twin engine that powers the dune-bashing Africa Twin ADV. Here, however, you get 87.1 horsepower and 72.3 pound-feet of torque.
At the same time, it has a very accessible seat height of only 27.5 inches and a fairly compact wheelbase of 59.8 inches. The standard model can already be a light-hearted urban runabout and a comfortable mile-eater. But Honda goes a step further with the $10,399 Rebel 1100 DCT, which features an automatic gearbox, making it a ‘scooter-like’ ride.
The 10 most powerful cruisers under $10,000 in 2025
The most powerful cruiser bike here is a 481-pound Harley-Davidson with 91 horsepower.
3
Kawasaki Vulcan S
Price: $7,399 (non-ABS) / $7,899 (ABS)
Kawasaki has managed to find the balance between sporty driving dynamics and cruiser bike comfort with the Vulcan S. This middleweight cruiser bike is powered by the same 649cc parallel-twin engine found on the previous generation Ninja 650 sports bike. Although the mill has been tuned to provide meaty torque at low revs, it still possesses a high-revving character, giving this Kawa both a sporty and relaxed character.
The compact shape, a low seat height of just 27.8 pounds and a curb weight of less than 500 pounds make the Vulcan S a comfortable urban runabout without breaking a sweat. The MSRP is also quite accessible, considering it costs the same as the less powerful Super Meteor 650.
2
KTM 390 Adventure R
Price: $6,999
The latest version of the highly popular KTM 390 Adventure is Team Orange’s best yet. Two trims are offered, Adventure X and Adventure R. While the former is affordable and road-oriented, the latter is what tickles us. The 390 Adventure R is a motorcycle that can do it all. It gets serious long-travel WP suspension (with adjustability) and knobby universal tires for trail riding without breaking a sweat.
Putting these two features together creates a sea of cool technological features, including switchable ABS, traction and control, a quickshifter, riding modes and a TFT with smartphone connectivity. Plus, it’s ready for long-distance touring, with practical extra features for comfort and convenience. All this while a versatile 399 cc engine, straight from the hooliganistic 390 Duke, provides the appearance.
1
Beta Alp 4.0
Price: $6,790
This is a very underrated do-it-all motorcycle that many are not aware of. Although it’s listed as an “adventure bike,” it goes beyond the label to be a solid off-roader, undoubtedly deserving of a dual-sport label. This is due to the robust chassis and the long-travel suspension with a suspension travel of more than 7 inches.
It goes even further with the luggage mounting solutions available to get this underdog ready for those open miles. It is also one of the few dual sports with a 6-speed gearbox, which significantly helps with relaxed and fast long journeys. The icing on this motorcycle is its compact form factor, which also allows the Alp 4.0 to be a solid urban runabout.
