Arsenal Travel North to compete against Newcastle United in St. James’ Park on competition day six of the Premier League at 16:30 local time this afternoon, while Mikel Arteta wants to add three more points on the board.
After a final gasp draw against Manchester City last weekend, the Gunners are again against the formidable opposition and have to bring their best foot forward if they want to get something out of the game.
Here is how they can in a row for the luminaire.
Goalkeeper – David Raya is expected to start in the goal, to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga, who played in the Carabao Cup against Port Vale.
Defenders – William Saliba could keep his place of the cup match, with Gabriel Magalhaes to return to the heart of the backline for Arsenal. Ben White and Myes Lewis-Skelly can both make way, meanwhile, for Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori to start right and left respectively.
Zubimendi and Gyokees back in the eleven
Midfielders – £ 51 million summer signs Martin Zubimendi played no role in the Carabao Cup match, so he will be fresh to start against Newcastle United, while Mikel Merino, formerly from Newcastle United, could also combine with his fellow countryman in midfield that he had played against Port Vale. Declan Rice could come in to complete the strongest possible midfield trio for Arsenal.
Ahead -Berechi Eze and Bukayo Saka can both keep their places of the last match of Arsenal, which may play on the left wing and the right wing, while Viktor Gyokeres could again come in the front who have come only from the couch against Port Vale.
Here is how the Gunners can see on paper.
