Professor Tim Spector, food guru, has unveiled the type of bread that he eats every day for optimum health.
Many of us will be guilty of closing a meal deal for lunch, but according to professional Spector these meals are the worse invention ever in the name of convenience.
Regular eating of ultracrocessed food, including white, packed bread from the supermarket, has recently been linked to increased risks of colon cancer, with new studies that suggest that diets in these foods could dump the risk of dying from the disease with more than a third.
But according to Prof. Spector, if you choose the right loaves, the Pantry -not you can be great for your intestinal health.
Prof. Spector wrote in De Telegraaf and advised to look out for loaves of fiber, has short ingredient lists, are free of additives and little sugar.
He said: ‘The best -selling sandwiches all tend to have a nice healthy label that promotes vitamins or fibers, some seeds spread on top and they usually look brown.
‘But you will never be able to tell the appearance or the front of the package if you buy healthy bread.
‘Instead, you have to look at the ingredient list at the back of the label. There you are looking for a high percentage of fiber in your bread (ideally more than 6-10 percent) and as little sugar as possible. ‘
Tim Spector, co-founder of ZOE, is Professor Epidemiology at King’s College London and one of the world’s leading researchers.

Prof Spector eats bread every day – but opts for sourdough or German rye to stimulate his fiber intake

Experts have often said that eating a duet can cause damage to your health in ultra -processed foods. But it is not just about the bread, Prof warned Spector. Instead, choose to choose a one-ingredient for a diverse range of vegetable proteins to stimulate overall intestinal health
Prof. Spector added that loaves made with rye or spelled flower and whole grain such as ATS are the best.
He also suggested avoiding products with long ingredient lists, especially those who contain additives such as emulsifiers and palm oils.
According to De Zoe Guru, added vitamins are another red flag, which often point to refined flower that may have been painted to make the bread look better for you.
Currently there are no regulations that prevent companies from ‘whole -grain’ or ‘freshly baked’ labels on their loaves, even if dyes have been added to the product, he explained.
“If it is baked on the site, supermarkets don’t have to divide the ingredients,” he added.
‘This category includes bread that were made in a factory, kept frozen in warehouses for two years and then thawed and baked in the store.
‘They are full of sugar, full of artificial ingredients and do not fill you.
“Even sourdough is unfortunately often added as a ‘fake’ ingredient to sell the product,” he added.

Prof Spector made meal agreements as the unhealthiest invention ever, with the average Brit spending an estimated £ 48,000 on single-ingredient sandwiches during a life

Prof. Spector was wary of something that looks healthy and always advised to check the ingredient list for additives with a red flag
“I know this is a very difficult food for people to make their way and I don’t think people should stop eating bread, but if you are just a bit of a hassle about the bread you eat, you can really improve your health.”
Prof. Spector said he usually eats sourdough bread that he makes himself, with Wholemeal flower, rye flower, malted flakes, water, salt, a sourdough starter and some mixed nuts and seeds.
“It is free from additives and preservatives, full of high-quality grains, contains a lot of fiber and fills you on what you mean that you eat much less than a equivalent purchased in the store,” added Zoe’s co-founder.
If he doesn’t have time to make his own bread, the health enthusiast chooses Gail’s Rye and Barley Sourdough, or a pre -packaged Long Life German Rye Bread.
He said: “Although they don’t look very tasty, they are nutritious and do the work until I can make the next.
“I would certainly not buy the heavily processed supermarket bread that I used to have, such as white or even cut Wholemeal.”
This comes as young diagnoses of colon cancer, also known as colon cancer, rise in the elevator and have shot with an alarming 80 percent in the last 30 years.
Scientists have suggested that a large number of factors are probably behind the phenomenon – from increased pollution to rising obesity and even invisible plastic particles in drinking water.

The Nova system, developed more than ten years ago by scientists in Brazil, splits food into four groups based on the amount of processing it has undergone. Unprocessed foods are fruit, vegetables, nuts, eggs and meat. Processed culinary ingredients – which are usually not only eaten – include oils, butter, sugar and salt

Colon cancer can ensure that you have blood in your shit, a change in intestinal habit, a lump in your intestine that can cause obstructions. Some people also suffer from weight loss due to these symptoms
Now experts believe that eating a diet with many processed foods and refined carbohydrates – such as packaged supermarket bread – can be a cause overlooked.
It is because it is known that these types of foods contain few fibers, the inellant part of vegetable foods that have been proven to reduce the risk of cancer.
Other research suggests that eating more fiber can help to wash away carcinogenic ‘forever chemicals’.
Also known as PFAS (per and polyfluoralkyl fabrics), these toxic chemicals do not naturally break into the environment.
Instead, they complain from plastic containers and anti -stick cooking utensils in food and build up in vital organs, which increases the risk of organ failure, infertility and colon cancer.
The researchers, from Boston, believe that fiber helps to filter excess bile from the digestive tract, which PfAS holds on to being absorbed through the bloodstream.
Although Bergen of Research has shown the deadly effects of chemicals on the body forever, the new study is one of the first to offer a scientifically proven way to get rid of the toxins that were thought to live in the body forever.
Dr. Catherine Elliott, research director of Cancer Research UK, MailOnline said: ‘We need more high -quality research like this to help us discover more about how our diet influences the results of cancer.
‘When it comes to the risk of food and cancer, our overall diet is much more important than any food or ingredient.
‘A healthy, balanced diet includes eating a lot of fruit, vegetables, whole -grain and healthy protein sources such as beans and chicken.
“Cut on processed and red meat, and foods with lots of fat, sugar and salt also helps.”
Colon cancer, long considered as a disease of old age, is increasingly finding people in the twenty, 30 and 40s in a phenomenon that Verstens all over the world.
In the past 30 years, the young diagnoses of the disease around the world have risen by 80 percent.
About 32,000 cases of colon cancer are diagnosed every year in the UK and 142,000 in the US.
