Tickets to premier race meetings across the country are among the experiences fans can try to purchase while supporting Breeders’ Cup Charities, the official outreach program of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. In addition to a table for four in the private turf club at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club summer meet and lodging for four in the new paddock building at Keeneland Race Course, a box for five will also be offered at the Saratoga Race Course summer meet. Four tickets for the Santa Anita Derby at Santa Anita Park and lodging for four for the Florida Derby at Gulfstream Park round out the available track excursions.
Also featured in the auction are jockey boots signed and worn by Hall of Fame jockey Pat Day, official Breeders’ Cup baseball caps for riders signed by the trainers of several 2025 Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) starters – including winner Forever Young (JPN) – and a Squier electric guitar signed by Robin Zander of Cheap Trick, Johnny Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jason Scheff from Chicago and CeeLo Green.
A print of Thorpedo Anna, winner of the 2024 Longines Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1) – Horse of the Year and champion 3-year-old filly in 2024 – is another key point of interest. The print is signed by trainer Kenny McPeek, jockey Brian Hernandez and artist Robert Clark. A print by artist Helen Hayse of the legendary Secretariat, signed by former Claiborne Farm president Seth Hancock, is also part of the auction.
Sports fans will find four 2026 Major League Baseball tickets courtesy of SeatGeek (market and date of winner’s choice; subject to availability), jockey goggles signed by Irad Ortiz Jr., and a one-year subscription with full access to the Daily Racing Form’s Past Performances among the items generously donated by supporters of Breeders’ Cup Charities.
In 2025, Breeders’ Cup Limited announced a revived Breeders’ Cup Charities program, aimed at generating meaningful, sustainable support for key industry charities and the wider Thoroughbred racing community. Led by an annual donation of all royalties received from sales of Breeders’ Cup merchandise, a number of new initiatives were introduced to increase overall fundraising efforts and ensure the continued success and growth of Breeders’ Cup Charities. Fundraising for 2025 is expected to total $675,000, all of which will be distributed to key beneficiaries of the Breeders’ Cup Charities and other charities.
Five core pillars – thoroughbred aftercare, health and wellbeing of jockeys, backstretch and industry workers, equine research and other impactful community initiatives – benefited from the funds raised by BCC in 2025. The initiative proudly supports several established charities, including but not limited to the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance, the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund, the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation and the Race Track Chaplaincy of America.
