Yuvraj Sandhu dominated the moving day with a phenomenal 8 under par 62 that included an Eagles bracket to extend his lead to three shots on the Mysuru Open on Thursday
Sandhu, in the leadership of the first day in the Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club is on an impressive 22 under 188 who has him at a moving distance from his third victory of the season, the Ogti said.
Sandhu, based in Chandigarh (61-65-62), the current PGTI order of merit leader, is followed by Dhaka’s Jamal Hossain (62-65-64) who kept in second place for the third consecutive day at 19-Under 191.

Chandigarh’s Karandep Kochhar corresponded to Yuvraj’s first round tournament Low of 61 to climb 11 places to be fourth bound at 17-under 193. Kochhar’s round contained an eagle and seven Birdies.
In addition to him, Michele Ortolani is in Italy (63), who also fired two Eagles on Thursday.
Mysore-based Pros P. Prabhu and Dhruv Bopanna were 47th bound at 6 under Totals from 204 on the par-70 course.
Sandhu dropped a shot, his first of the event, on the second hole, but came back roaring with two birdies and two eagles at the front nine.
On purpose
He landed his tee shot within two feet of the pen on the par-4 seventh to pick up his first eagle and then landed his approach within three feet of the pin on the PAR-5 ninth for the second.
The 28-year-old then produced five consecutive Birdies of holes 10 to 14 with some first-class all-round game.
At one point Sandhu gave an impressive lead of five shots, but three shots dropped in his last four holes against one Birdie allowed the persistent Hossain to close.
“I played today in a different mental zone, as is apparent from my score between holes seven and 14,” Sandhu said later.
“I really enjoyed it. It is the kind of zone where golfers often strive to enter.
“My attitude and trust on the track is a direct reflection of the routine that I have endured during the low season by pushing myself to the limit.”
Hossain collected five birdies about the first 11 holes, but then missed some chances on the Greens, because he could only manage two birdies and a bogey in the next seven holes.
