Beloved YouTube star and animal rights activist Mikayla Raines’ cause of death has been confirmed.
The 29-year-old, whose animal rescue efforts gave her a loyal social media, died by suicide, said the office of the Midwest Medical Examiner, who confirmed the first post of her husband Ethan Frankamp.
Raines hung herself in the barn on her property in Faribault, minn., The medical investigator said. She was found dead on June 20, TMZ reported.
Her death was announced in a June 22 Instagram -Report Because of her desperate husband.
“She could no longer tolerate what she felt, and she ended her life,” he said and said that her death is “the greatest loss of my life.”
Frankamp said that his deceased wife, who had more than 2,45 million YouTube subscribers, was the victim of an “online plague campaign” of people she knew and those who worked over the years at “other animal shrines”.

Frankamp said he performed CPR on Mikayla for 15 minutes when he found her lifeless body while waiting for paramedics.
He added that her young daughter, Freya, was ‘deeply sad’ by her mother’s death.
“To those of you who pushed her for this, everyone who had been responsible for making her feel like that, I wanted – I wish you should see me find her, and I wish you had to perform for 15 minutes of resuscitation on her until the first responds arrived,” Frankamp said.
“We have ago a loss that is unimaginable. Mikayla was really the most amazing and inspiring person I have ever known, and who has not had her here, makes everything empty. I feel broken.”
“As many of you know she was in the autism spectrum and although that made her life very difficult, it was able to have a hyperfocus on one thing, and that one was clearly animals,” he added.
After the news of her death, Frankamp said that he will “do what I can do” to continue saving a Fox Rescue Center.
