You probably only care about a few of these cards

I interviewed myself because I did it while waiting, because God takes a while. It was only a month, it turned out, but it certainly seemed longer. I know I have experienced this before (and written about it), but the storage sometimes doesn’t seem worth it while waiting.

I usually reserve sports lots of orders for connecting a few team set needs or setting needs in general, but not for supervintage cards in most cases. Sportlots is not great to know what the cards look like when you buy them (it seems to have cut even more on the photos). So things like Kellogg’s cards are out.

I don’t know how much these arrivals people will interest, but what does it matter? This blog is here to show my cards, nobody else needs to like them than me.

Here we go, I mean, why all Stadium Club Chrome from 2021, Night Owl? Zack McKinstry and Mitch White? But team collectors understand. At a certain point I got into a jerk and wanted all those SC Chrome maps that contain different photos than the Chrome parallels in the regular stadium club set. Stupid, really. I can’t do that every time Topps draws this nonsense, but it seemed like a good plan at that time.

Talking about Stadium Club Chrome, what about a few tickets of 25 years earlier? And also a Chrome update card from Paul Loduca from 2001. The Ben Diggins and Shawn Green are weak attempts to complete a few team sets from 2001. I still need cards for both activities.

I also know that you have seen the Raul Mondesi SC Chrome card at the top of the post since you were. Yes, I thought that would be a Dodgers card. Sportlots need more photos, I tell you!

These two cards made their arrival thanks to the Corey Seager Rookie card of this set. I hunted that a few weeks ago and realized that I had virtually nothing done with the team that year set.

Mookies !!! Good to see that Betts behaves like his normal self in the past month. It became worrying. Both are cards a few years ago.

It does it for the shiny cards in the package. Not much else left but very old-school.

When I placed this card on Bluesky shortly after the death of both special superstars, it became more likes than just about everything I have ever posted. Then I realized, Dummy, this is in your night card binder, but you also need one for the 1987 Vlasket!

Did you know that this Tcma Home Run Champions set from 1985 contains two Duke Sniders – kneel one of him and one of him that stands? I didn’t do it. TCMA sets from the mid-1980s are so strange. You also have to cut them into cards, which we never had to do in the 1970s. This is less than expertly cut, but it is.

Ok … I didn’t listen to myself about avoiding sports lots for cards that need visual confirmation. All three were attempts to upgrade cards. I still have a few tops cards from 1974 that I bought back 20 years ago when I chased the set that diamond cut or whatever. The Kurt Bevacqua is a suitable replacement. The Walt Williams is not – too many pressure defects on it.

I also hoped for Bill Russell in Bill Russell from 1980. I recently went when I discovered that the Russell I had in the team binder had a vague but nevertheless fold in the top right. How have I missed that for all those years? I went to the Dupes box for a replacement, but there was none. So I ordered this. It’s not great. Maybe you should check eBay.

Another for the TCMA 1941 Brooklyn Dodgers Set from 1978. Ten more to go!

And finally, this:

Working on the Beckett Vintage Collector story about incorrectly spelled names on cards led me to get this card. As I wrote about, this card is often considered incorrect in two ways – his first name and he appears as a Left Hander in the photo. Joking is in your both ways – Burdette preferred the name “Lou” above “Lew” and signed it that way and he deliberately posed as a leffty because heinks!

So it had to get it. And this list delivered a photo. It is a great copy.

It is always interesting to see the packaging of sellers. A seller used this Roger Clemens Baseball Aces card as – I think? – A way to cover up the card I ordered in the top loader? Maybe to protect it? A baseball ACES card is as thin as it becomes. They also put tapemarks on a Clemens card, but they are all on the back, so I think I will keep it.

That is what is probably my last sports lotation order of 2025. Neither was sensational. More as methodical, I would say. That’s fine.
