As a gear, it is rare for me to find a device that I feel that I can’t live without it.
I love mine Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond Tour Draw Driver (If not the length of the name!), But I have back -ups that I am with. I love my adapted Toulon Chicago Putter, but I have other flat sticks that find their way to my start rotation. The same applies to every other club in my bag – this year I have changed all my gamers several times. There is only one piece of equipment that I have not changed this year, and that is my golf ball: Wilson Golf’s Staff Model X.
The Wilson Staff Model X came surprised, but was not a coincidence. I am a strong proponent of the Ballnamic Golf Ball Fitting ToolThat Ping developed as an unbiased ball tests and appropriate platform. The process is simple: you enter your launch monitor data, the more precisely, the better, and you answer a few other questions about your preferences and game, and the program spits for bal recommendations for you. My advice from there: take a sleeve of each model and test them on the track with as many different clubs and photos as you can.

Trust through control
When I went through the Ballnamic Montage, I was surprised to see that the Wilson Staff Model X suggested as one of my competitions, along with Titleist’s Pro V1X and Callaway’s Chrome Tour X. I have all tested three on course compared to my previous gamer (the Taylormade TP5x), and while all, while, while all, while, while all, the poction led. The Wilson differ from the other roads.
The first and demonstrable main advantage for me was the control and the feeling that this ball gave me on shots with short game. It is not overly soft, but it sounds great and gives trust-inspiring feedback with Impact. From the first few shots I touched with the staff model X, I felt 100 percent control of my ball. High and spinny, low runners, low checkers, tumblers from Dik Ruw – the ball always seemed to do exactly what I thought it would do. No surprises.
However, what made the most impression on me was the stability of the ball flight of the T -shirt and in the longer irons. If someone who lives in the outskirts of Chicago and play a good day with a narrow jobs on a good day, I can confirm that this ball can give less around the environment in which you play. In the wind it is about half a club longer than other options that I have tested; Downwind it is not unexpectedly away from you; And side wind hardly exist for this golf ball. On wet days or dew -like mornings, it doesn’t jump from the short irons either. All this is unlocked in me, the ability to stand in a tee or over a longer shot in a green and to feel that I have full control.
Extreme sustainability
Another thing that I like about this ball: it is Uber Durable to the feeling it offers. I have no problem changing over a round between two balls, and when there is a brand or small scuff on a ball, I have not seen a relegation in performance or flight, a new paranoia that I have developed after testing some other options. I am usually picky about balls while playing, and I go through half a dozen or a round because of nicks and scratches, but since I switched to personnel model X, I have rotated fewer balls.
Why it works (for me)
The Wilson personnel model X has a core composition that makes a firmer compression speed possible, while the possibility for the ball is maintained to transfer the maximum amount of energy from the club face properly and effectively. The X is also one of the few balls that wants to be a high spider And High launch. Usually you would see balls in the higher spider category a little lower, because the marriage of characteristics between spider in the launch is generally stabilized with lower liquid, high spider balls and higher liquid low spider balls. Especially outside the tee you see the difference in the launch of the personnel model X above others in its category.
The ball is completed Wilson’s 3SIX2 seamless urethane cover, which combines an impressive durability with tons of spider with wedge and short-game recordings, while also increases the spider on irons (which I love). The housing has a 362-dippel pattern. That may not seem much to you, but think about how small a ball is (the title Pro V1x has 348 wells). I have a premonition, where my sense of control comes from, as well as the stability of the ball in the air and through the wind.
