Yograj Singh reveals the turmoil in his personal life

Yograj Singh, a former Indian cricketer and father of legendary Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, has dedicated his life to cricket and is mainly in the spotlight for his fierce personality and unfiltered view of Indian cricket.

The former fast bowler has shown an emotional side of himself for the first time and has spoken about how he has been battling loneliness for years, also revealing that he is “ready to die” and that he doesn’t have much left in his life.

The unrest is a public secret as the 62-year-old had often spoken about the constant arguments in his family and that his son was the first to realize this. He also said in a recent interview that the biggest shock of his life came when his wife and son left him.

This should have happened to me, it happened for good,” Yograj Singh said

Yograj Singh said, “When things came to a point where Yuvi and his mother left me, it gave me the biggest shock. The woman to whom I devoted my entire life, my entire childhood, can also leave me and go away? Many things have been destroyed in this way.”

“I asked God why all this happened when I did everything right for everyone. I may have made some mistakes, but I am an innocent man; I have not done anything bad to anyone. I cried in front of God, he took me out of that sea,” he broke out.

Yograj Singh added that he later got married for the second time, but even that phase left him as life took him back to square one, from which he once wanted to escape.

“It was God’s game, which was written for me. There was a lot of anger and a sense of revenge. Then cricket came into my life, I quit, let Yuvi play cricket, he played and left. Then I got married again, had two children and they also left for the US.”

“A few films also came out, time passed and came back to the point where it all started. I asked myself, ‘Did I do all this, for what?’ Do you have anyone with you now? This should have happened to me, it happened for good,” he said.

Singh also revealed his recent nights of loneliness

When the interviewer asked how he spends his evenings with his current family, the former cricketer said he spends them completely in solitude as there is no one at his house.

“I sit alone in the evening and there is no one at home. I depend on strangers for food, sometimes on one, sometimes on the other. But I don’t bother anyone. Someone or the others gets food for me when I am hungry. I had house help and cooked; they served and left.”

“I love my mother, children, daughter-in-law, grandchildren and everyone in the family. But I don’t ask for anything. I am ready to die. My life is complete; whenever God wants, he can take me. I am so grateful to God, I pray and he keeps on giving,” Yograj Singh concluded.
